Recommendation: Excellent. One of the best cheesecakes we’ve had!

Muddy Paws was one of the first cheesecake bakeries in Minneapolis. Started by Tami Cabrera Weinmann in 1993, it claims to have the most number of flavors in the world…222 and counting! If you can’t find a flavor you are looking for, you can request a special flavor as they are very open to ideas. The Uptown location serves other dishes such as Sandwiches, Soups, Flatbreads, etc. They also have several specialty coffees such as Marble Mocha and White Razz Mocha to name a few that go great with the cheesecakes. Muddy Paws is more that just a neighborhood cheesecake bakery…they cater weddings and special events such as birthdays and even deliver.

Decadent, Rich, Creamy, Heavenly…the cheesecakes are made from scratch and use fresh ingredients such as roasted nuts, fruit, as well as original ingredients like Ghirardelli Chocolates and real Philadelphia Cream Cheese. Our favorites are the Raspberry Swirl and the Chocolate Decadence. The Raspberry Swirl is not too sweet with a touch of sour and incredibly rich. The cakes really melt in your mouth. Other flavors we like are Caramel Pecan and Cookies and Crème. The Chocolate Chip tasted just like plain cheesecake, the chips didn’t add much flavor but was still great. Bottom line is that you can’t go wrong with their cheesecakes no matter what flavor you pick.

$. Individual slices are $3.75, 9” cakes range from $29-$39 depending on the flavor.
