Recommendation: Very Good. This local (delivery style) pizza chain is a nice alternative to the standard national pizza outlets.

For over 30 years, Gina Maria’s has been serving pizza to patrons in the southwest metro. Their Eden Prairie location is take out/delivery only (with some outdoor bench seating next to the parking lot). In addition to standard pizza toppings, Gina Maria’s has a great selection of specialty pizzas with your choice of classic thin crust, deep dish or New York style. They have a great lunch special, where you can get a gigantic slice of pizza with a soda for less than $5!

Their classic crust is a little on the crunchy side and is a great way to enjoy their pizza. Of special mention is their Chicken Ranch Pizza (with ranch sauce, four cheeses, garlic chicken, and bacon) and the Taco Pizza (beef, bean sauce, sharp cheddar and taco toppings). The Ranch pizza has a nice tangy zest from the sauce and the crunchiness of the bacon adds a perfect finish. Both pizzas are piled high with toppings so a slice can get pretty heavy.

Their customer service is less than stellar and they have wrongly filled our order twice. They did ask us to come in for a complimentary pizza, which was a pain to redeem – their “on the house” customer list is apparently kept in paper format. When we called to redeem our pizza the manager could not find us on the list and refused to believe our side of the story. After a long time on the phone she realized her mistake, found our name on the list, and filled our order.
